The C.G. Jung Foundation presents

Working with Personal Mythology

a daylong workshop led by
Julie Bondanza, PhD

Saturday, March 8, 2008
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

“What we are to our inward vision can only
be expressed by way of myth”

— C. G. Jung

In this daylong workshop, we will examine familiar images, characters and themes from fairytale, myth and the arts, as well as from our own lives — from dreams and family lore — to discover how these motifs illuminate the development and meaning of our personal mythologies.

Some motifs reveal essential life experiences; some embody aspects of our selves. Others are linked with the experience of the numinous or recall early fears or negative associations. Understanding these themes can help us to transform them. Bringing them from the unconscious or semi-conscious to consciousness assists in our individuation journeys.

Julie Bondanza, PhD, is a Jungian analyst and licensed psychologist with private practices in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. She is presently Director of Training at the Philadelphia site of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts.
