A Daylong Zoom Seminar Led by : Christina Becker, MBA, RP

Contact hours: 4 CE contact hours for Licensed NYS Social Workers, Psychoanalysts and Creative Arts Therapists for this program.

Astrologically, the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic has been correlated with the 22-year cycle of Saturn/Pluto. This cycle brings with it forced collective transformation and significant change.  The chaos we are experiencing in the world - climate change increased natural disasters, and the pandemic  - suggests that our world may be in a much larger process of transformation, activating the archetype of death and rebirth that is encoded in the collective unconscious.  What is this transformation about?

In this workshop we will explore the self-imposed isolation and lock-down that has been necessary for a collective psychological reset.  We will also explore the images associated with this and the personal experiences that have arisen.  Stepping back, we might look to a larger perspective that lies in the astrological precision of the equinoxes.  We are at the end of the Age of Pisces and moving into the Age of Aquarius.  An exploration of the Age of Aquarius might offer a glimpse of what is to come and how we might activate this transformation in our own lives.  No astrological knowledge is necessary.

Our main focus will be to look at the archetypal energies associated with the outer astrological planets and show how the correlation of these cycles to significant shifts in the collective consciousness. The emphasis of the workshop will also be on grounding these ideas in the lived experience of workshop participants with the aim of finding our individual role in the collective movement and finding meaning in our own lives.

Learning Objectives:

  1.  To explain the grand patterns of human evolution that has been seen in the large collective cycle.
  2.  To discuss the archetypal themes embedded in the COVID-19 pandemic both in the imagery and in the astrology of its spread.
  3.  To explore what might lie ahead in terms of the evolution of human consciousness that speaks to the age of Aquarius.
  4.  Apply the concepts presented to explore personal shifts in thinking and values as a result of the pandemic.
